GIBSP1 Story - 2nd August 2000
Well then here is the story for GIBSP1 so you know what to expect, there is plenty of room for improvement on this story and I would appreciate it if anyone woulod like to mingle with it a bit, maybe spruce it up a little, Fatty or someone? Anyway just mail it to me 8).

Now that your science team has discovered and explored all aspects of the slipgate technology and have complete control of who passes through the gate, they move onto more interesting, unexplored pastures... Gentic experiments using the creatures from the other side of the slipgate.

Going about your normal supervisory duties as manager checking up on all your staff and their experiments you discover that one of you teams have has managed to sting together a large quantity of the creatures DNA structure and with the use of human DNA to fill in the gaps, they`ve been able to begin work on creating a human/monster hybrid.

...Months Later...

Professor Collins, one of you top team members, calls you over whilst you where going about your duties of checking things over. He presents you with the finished article, a human/monster hybrid, in astonishment you phone up head office and your financee`s for a tour of the facilty and to show your investors what good progress there money is helping make.

...Days Later...

It`s the day of inspection and all your team are ready in their best lab suits, Prof Collins has taken care of fitting our hybrids in a nice display forcefield but being safety concious, you decide to have one final check to see that everything is in order, that`s what made you manager of this whole thing.

You enter the display room and as the terror is setting in you realise that none of the forcefields have been activated and there isn`t a creature in sight, a hundred questions fill your head, "What if they`ve gone through the slipgate?", god knows what creatures they could bring back through with them. You rush back into the main room to find there is no one there, "Where can a team of 20 scientists disappear to?", You realise they`ve probably been taken or killed so you dash for the exit only to be intercepted by a team of hideous creatures, you turn and run as fast as you can not knowing what to do. As you run you see the emergency weapons cabinet attached to the wall, you smash it and take out the Axe and the Shotgun and continue to run, you spot a vent in the wall quickly pull off the cover and dash inside, you`ve escaped.

After a few moments of relief you figure out that your the only survivor, the only thing between these creatures being unleased upon the world, the end of humanity as we know it. You psyche yourself up, pump your shotgun and get ready to push those monsters back where they came and close the slipgate for good.

Site Improvements - 31th July 2000
Just a few visual tweaks here and there, also you can look forwards to the addition of a comments script on news items and reviews as my site is soon to incorporate PHP and MYSQL woo, courtesy of Skull (appropriate credits etc will be added when I get it all up and running 8) ).

Also progress on GIBSP1 is slowing down but I`m still churning away at it, I have now finished the main storage room, and connecting corridors and I have lit and detailed most of what I`ve done already and I plan to do this as I go along. I suppose it`s roughly 35% arcitecture complete, that`s without monsters and sub missions (get key etc), anyway all sub missions have been planned out on paper so it`s basically just churning away at WorldCraft 1.6 all day.

Some reviews will be put up soon also when I become hosted by someone proper like TF or PQ, until next time CHEERIO.

p.s. If I had dates of updates wrong then ignore it coz my comp was one day behind on it`s calender, strange? YES, do you know why? NO. 8)

Another Quick Update - 29th July 2000
Just got round to playing and completing that Quake1 SP pack by I Art, I must say it is quite impressive and I enjoyed it alot and has everything for the novice right upto the most l33t player and that spinning teleporter was just beautiful. Now for the nags, The last level DIG3.bsp would not work in GL and I had to switch into software mode to complete it, and ermm, that is about it. Go get the damned pack now from I Art`s Site.

Damned WorldCraft - 29th July 2000
Well at the moment WorldCraft is giving me no end of trouble and anything remotely difficult task just never work so I suppose I`ll go over to the message board on QMap, damn that place is good.

Also I took down my .Plan file on the map page coz it was useless, anything I need to tell you will be right here on the news.

Two More Things - 27th July 2000
Check out the maps page for a screenie of the Q1DM map I`m making, also on the maps page I have a .plan progress link so you can see how my map is coming along.

Also Feel free to do a review and submit it as I`ll put it up on the site for you, providing of course that you use one of my reviews as a HTML template so I can just bung it in, ohh yeah and the screenie size is, HEIGHT - 200 by WIDTH - 150 and don`t forgot to include the big screenshot too.

Review Of XL1DM6 - 27th July 2000
There we have it, goto the reviews link above to check it out.
Also finished off the about page, so go and have a wander around and drop any comments off to daveyc121@hotmail.com.

I also found a nice Quake1SP pack which takes advantage of Custents 6.0 (which is rotating things and stuff). So go and check out Iain Bruce`s site and give 'The Dig' a try. Ohh yeah I read that on QMap, which rocks BTW 8). There is also a coloured lighting version available but I think you need a different *.exe or summit.

With Nehahra and OUM on the way, it`s a Q1SP paradise 8), I can hardly wait.

Hello and Welcome To GMC - 26th July 2000
Well this is the new GMC, which will mainly be my own mapping author site but will have a review now and again for some of the best maps around the net. Here I will keep you informed of all maps and/or projects I start or participate in making. Although I have never released a map before now I am working on making one that I intend on releasing coz basically everything I have come up with so far has been a big steaming pile of shite, anyhow keep popping along to this page for the latest info as I`ll try and keep it updated as often as possible and hopefully pump out a few reviews, until next time GOODBYE.
